Halloween costumes

I need a Halloween costume this year. I don’t want to buy/rent anything because it would look like I took the easy way out. I don’t want anything uncomfortable either because I have to wear it all day at work.

I racked my brains and decided to be a Hippie flower child. Ideally I’d want the go-go look with the tall boots etc. But I think that would cost a bit. I’m going to drop by the thrift stores and see what I can find. If all else fails, I’m going to find bell bottoms and sew some silk flowers to them, a peasant top, and a silk scarf in some psycadalic colors and patterns as a head scarf.
