The jackpot for 649 is 43 Million dollars this Saturday. I caved and bought a ticket. Some people say it's silly. Some people point out that the odds and how it doesn't make sense to buy only when the Jackpot is huge.
But you know what? It's $2 for a little excitement and fun of thinking "What if...". Fingers crossed!

I agree with you completely, while I didn't purchase a 6/49 ticket this time, I often participate in charitable lotteries.
It's fun to dream and plan what you would do if you win, and though charity tickets usually cost considerably more than a 6/49 ticket, the money ends up supporting a good cause anyway.
I don't buy tickets anymore, but I did when I was employed. I enjoyed being a part of the pool! It's certainly tempting eh?
