I e-mailed my lawyer for an update. She said she is waiting to hear about from the solicitor for the vendor. She said she usually gives them 2 to 3 weeks to respond and will forward the money as soon as she receive them. So I will give it until early December.
I also checked my credit card. This gas station purchase when through and did change from $100 to $20. He was right.

And this is the main reason why you should be extra careful when making those purchases on a debit card. Sometimes that amount gets blocked on your card and you don't know it and next thing you know, you're overdrawing your account and paying overdraft fees.
