I was stuck behind this lady at the post office today. She's loading money onto her Visa prepaid card.
It seems that the max amount that can be loaded per transaction is $500 for a $3 fee. She loaded $3500, which cost $21. I was thinking, even if her credit is not great, she can get a card with a small credit limit. It would help build credit. Also credit card offer rewards, purchase protection etc.
I think Visa prepaid are great for gifts. But for everyday use, a Visa card has better benefits.
