I've been meaning to post this update for awhile now. So it's a little delayed but here it is.
Remember the parcel I was sending to my friend in France? I chose the cheaper option which wouldn't cost me $50. I was told that it would arrive in 6 - 8 weeks. Well it arrived in two weeks time. My friend e-mailed me when she got back from her skiing trip and it was waiting for her in the mail box. Now I'm really glad I didn't spend $50 for the 'express' mail.

I think the reason they say 6 to 8 weeks is because they will sometimes wait to get a bunch of parcels together to ship them out. Usually they always get there before.
If you don't want a tracking #, anything under 2 kg can be shipped fairly cheap.
I wouldn't have spent $50 either!
